Find Farms, Stores, and Restaurants in the Victoria area that support more humane farm animal husbandry
We aim to help people find ethically raised meat, dairy, and eggs in the area of Victoria, BC. This guide is run by volunteers, and is independent of any farms or third-party certifying organizations. However, we highlight farms that abide by SPCA and Certified Organics standards as they are farms that have been regularly inspected and comply with a high level of humane welfare requirements.
This guide is not exhaustive, and is a continually evolving work in progress. If you know of any additional farms, stores, or restaurants that supply ethically-sourced meat, dairy, and eggs, please contact us with more information. Similarly, if you notice any erroneous information, such as products no longer carried by farms, please let us know so we can keep as accurate a listing as possible.
Please note that we neither condone nor condemn the eating of animals and animal products; however, we feel that any animals that are raised, no matter their purpose, deserve a life free of cruelty. We hope this guide will help to support farms, restaurants, and stores that follow this principle.
